Moccasin Springs Natural Mineral Springs/Spa

Everything about this place sounded great.....a nice tranquil QUIET setting to unwind. There are MULTIPLE places online and in person that says it is a quiet zone. Holy cow .... Anything but that. Went on a Sunday evening thinking it would be the quietest. Well, there are only 2 small pools that are actually "hot" and there was a mixed group of 13 that sat in there for an hour having 3 or 4 different conversations going the ENTIRE time. There was a young man worker that walked by us three times and kept looking but never said one word to them. Finally a lady came out and said oh he was too scared to say anything to you so I will. She left and it was like she never even said anything to them asking them to be quiet. After an hour of that I had had enough and realized it wasn't going to be stopped so I decided to go escape the noise and eat in the restaurant since there was absolutely no one in there. That was a decent experience even though they only had one ribeye in stock and I wanted 2. Great wait staff. This place could be so much more, but it was treated like I paid admission to a children's waterpark instead of the tranquil setting it promised online and in the main office. Pretty disappointing honestly. EDIT: I know they didn't allow children, part of the reason we wanted to go here. However, most children would behave better than the adults that were there being obnoxiously loud in a "tranquil" place.

HOLY BUCKETS!! What a magical place! SSHHH please use your quite voice when you go hear.❤️ While I was here I did over hear someone say "oh they didn't realize its outside." YES the spring is 100% outside....BUT WAIT as you can see there's places to pop in if you feel like you need to warm up. There's there's an amazing hot sauna, where you walk in and have a view of the yard in the back, it was so nice not feeling closed in. While we were in one of the pools a deer came down off the hill and stared right at us for the longest time. There's couple bath houses you can pop in and relax in also. There's also lockers (like the ones in the main bathhouse) over in the other bathhouse with the fireplace. I had a 2hr soak and it was perfect, I do wish I would've signed up for a massage there. Update: Went back to give it another chance. It was a lot experience overall. The yoga was fantastic and really relaxing. The pools were also less crowded since it was warmer. This was a very interesting place. They give you this whole talk about whispering and sharing the pools but neither are followed. We went on a colder day so the same people hogged the hottest pools for the two hours we are there. And since those pools are so small you can't get many people in them. That basically left us with one pool if you didn't want to freeze. The only positive was that the pool house where you change was heated. I won't be back.

Visited for a soak in the hot springs, decided to enjoy a salt room first. Salt room included amethyst warming mat and 30 minutes of salt misting. The pools ranged in temps from 88 degrees to 105 degrees, was worth starting in the cooler pools and working your way up to the hot ones. Total time onsite was about 3 hours and was very reasonably priced compared to other soak spa's from larger cities (those weren't even natural spring water minerals). Will be back, for more soak and to try the restaurant.

Thought the place was great. Scored a 9:00 a.m. soak time reservation one day before the Saturday of mother's Day weekend. Variety of different pools from 80° all the way up to 104. The hotter pools are smaller in size and there is a barrel sauna. They've got about 8 showers and a lots of tables and chairs and lockers. Rogue, sandal, towel rentals are available as well. Beautiful spot! Patrons and employees were respectful. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
