Storybook Land
Inspired by nursery rhymes, this theme park features a miniature train, castle & other attractions.
This was such an amazing find. I traveled here with my 5 year old daughter for their festival weekend. We spent 2 whole days at the park exploring, playing and participating in the festival activities. We enjoyed the unlimited rides for $15 dollars the first day and then went through a couple punch passes the next. We were so lucky to have met some authors at the event and picked up 2 novels written about storybook land that have become a hit at bed time as we continue to read about all the characters and playground areas we explored. Every person we encountered from waiting in the airport, to our cab and Uber drivers, to parents my daughter played with, and the hotel staff, were all extremely kind and helpful making the whole trip experience a great one.
Really one of the best places for kids to run and play...pretty much worry free for parents! So much to see and do for all ages. Lots of swings, play areas, rides (train -that tours the whole park and zoo, carousel for all ages, roller coaster, spinning tea cups) and a great space to let kids run. Landscaping was gorgeous. Always full of well maintained flowers and plants. I love that it is free admission. We visited several times on our last stay. They have an air-conditioned breastfeeding building. Air conditioning in the visitors center too. So much works goes into a place like this. Truly a treasure for Aberdeen! Highly recommend checking it out!
Storybook Land continues to improve over the years. A recommended stop for those with small children from ages 1-6. There is also an air conditioned nursing station in Santa's House year round for those of nursing age. A cute place for a walk for adults as well, complete with viewing of bison, elk, long horns, and more and petting zoos for the little ones. Inside you will find an air conditioned gift shop, concessions complete with lunch options and cold treats, and bathrooms.
AFFORDABLE FAMILY ATTRACTION/DESTINATION- Storybook Land and Wylie Campground are a perfect place to spend a long weekend with the kids. Storybook Land has multiple rides, including a train, balloon ride, carousel and the new Barnyard ride. Admission is FREE and rides are $3.00 or 10/$25. There is also mini golf, go karts, a free zoo, & a beach on the grounds. The adjacent campground, Wylie Park, is also a great place to stay and affordable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Story Book Land is a oasis of story book characters sprinkled around a vast area of sections in a nice wooded yellow brick s road area. Kids are welcomed by anywhere from the Wizard of Oz to short story characters. There are about 7 rides in total that are fun for all ages. The carousel and twisty rides the kiddos enjoyed. Passes are very reasonable for the ride packs. The park is all donation so a joy for all who visit.
