Wylie Park
Imaginative place with storybook-themed rides & attractions, plus concessions stands & a gift shop.
So much fun and so much to do! We went on the go carts, bumpwr boats, and the eurojump trampolines then rented a 4 person bike for an hour. It was a blast and the bike rentals are very reasonable and you can ride all over the park for the most part with the exception of inside the Storyland Park. On the weekend you can rent canoes and paddleboats for the lake and swimming area. We also spent some time at Storybook Land. They have 4 rides which you have to pay for, but the park is free to get into which is awesome. The yellow brick road is so cute too follow they the forest to the talking trees and eventually to the witch! Very cute and clean! Also fun to see the small zoo and the petting zoo inside!
Wylie Park is a pleasant place to spend some time outdoors, especially for families and people looking for a calm environment. The park is generally well maintained and offers open green spaces that are great for walking, relaxing, or letting kids play. There are picnic areas and playgrounds that make it convenient for short visits or casual outings. While it may not have many standout features compared to larger parks, it’s a nice local spot to enjoy fresh air and unwind. Overall, it’s a solid option for a simple and peaceful park experience.
This is truly one of the nicest parks I've stayed in. I have been doing this for 6 years, 42 states. Have stayed in multitudes of RV parks. Wylie is beautiful, the green grass is vibrant. Nature is all around yet the park is close to town. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Not all spots are full hookup. Many are first come first serve. Laundry facilities are sparkling clean. Park itself is well maintained. They do have cabins for rent, albeit at much higher prices. Why? I have no idea, maybe because staff needs to clean them, higher cost.
Excellent campground! Well-lit, clean facilities. Spacious lots. Several playgrounds, cabins, and a lake to swim in with a wonderful sand beach. There are several amenities within a few miles, including a fabulous water park with something for all ages! We are making this an annual family vacation. Simply a must for young kids, and the young at heart. Storybook land is a wonderful nursery play land full of jungle gyms, slides, rides and more. It was just a short walk from our camp site.
Really enjoyed myself during a visit to Aberdeen, SD. There are so many things to do within the park area. Storybook Land is great for the kids and is kept up very well. I believe the upkeep comes from donations so entry into the park is free! Just a short drive within the park area is entertainment such as miniature golf and go karts for a price. Both offered great fun as I was there with other adults. Definitely would return next time if I'm ever in Aberdeen, SD.
