Chalk Ridge Falls Park

I was passing through the area for work and was looking for a trail or park to spend a few hours exploring. Found this little gem just driving by and decided to stop. Glad I did. It was a beautiful trail through the woods next to water. A few very scenic spots along the trail on the water and a waterfall down the trail. Plenty of parking and seemed very dog friendly. I don't know about swimming here but it seems some people swim here. A few trees were down blocking the path and one staircase was very steep and seemed to have been washed away a bit. The waterfall was nice and relaxing. The trail was a mix of dirt trails and wood walkways. I had a very pleasant walk, didn't run into many people even though it was busy. It was a great place to explore and connect with nature. I would highly recommend visiting if your in the area. The park down the road has a great overlook and is perfect to watch the sunset. You can't see much of the sunset from this side of the hill.

A nice peaceful place to hike! Absolutely beautiful. If you’re planning on going in the falls, I recommend bringing some extra clothes in your car, water shoes (as the waters are VERY rocky and can be hard to balance in with bare feet), doing this last, and I don’t recommend swimming, only really walking in the water, as the falls’ water is kind of dirty. Mostly, the good part is the hiking! You should have really strong legs if you’re hiking here. The slope to the falls is steep but not impossible to get down and up from, and some of the steps can be steep as well. Also extra pictures of Stillhouse Hollow Lake; the drive to the trail is beautiful.

Great little spit for a walk and lunch. Nice variety of trails to explore and plenty of room, so you shouldn't be too concerned by the amount of cars that are likely to be in the parking area. The suspension bridge has been removed - if that is why you are going you will be very happy with the rest of the park. Dog friendly (please keep them on a leash), kid friendly (leashes are optional), older adults friendly (there are plenty of benches).

It's a very physical walk and climb if you go off of the boardwalk trail and adventure downstairs around the creek bottom. Absolutely gorgeous and well maintained park, no trash in sight, the dog loved it but she got overheated because she's not used to that much physical activity. I loved our hike and everybody was respectful of each other; no crowding, no loud talking, just all reconnecting with nature

Beautiful park. Trails are poorly marked, if at all. Someone wrote on a bench with marker indicating the way to the falls, which is one of the reasons I found them. Falls are small but beautiful. Definitely need trails maps to stay on track. Restroom was a glorified porta-potty basically. No soap to wash hands. Bring hand sanitizer if you need to use them. Would explore more of the area next time.
