King Spa & Sauna

King Spa is a great trip for a relaxing day, but don’t expect all the facilities to be in use or working (see photos). Upset that they closed the waterpark permanently so that we can spend quality family time there with kids. My experience from a first time visitor to spa castle that I hope provides help on what to expect. Check in: Upon arrival you go to a check in desk, where you pay ($50 for Saturday day pass) and get your RFID arm band (for your locker and for paying on site, one size only). Entering into the next lobby area, you have to take of your shoes and carry them, and the entire facility (except for the pool area) is shoe less (or you can wear socks). At the lobby “help” desk, you get your loungewear in whatever size you ask for, and you can ask to show them your ID to get a 21+ wristband for drinks at the pool bar. You can also book spa appointments at this desk. I then went to go change into my provided loungewear “uniform” . Large towels are only available for RENT, so bring your own large beach towel as you need a towel for some of the dry sauna rooms. Locker to women’s locker room was clean and looked relatively refreshed. However, the aisles for the lockers were quite close together, and if more than one person was changing from adjacent lockers it got very crowded. There were also no benches to sit down if needed. The top level lockers were quite tall. The locker room lead to a sink area which could be used, and just beyond that the gender separated hot baths. I didn’t see any toilets in the locker room. Hot Baths: These are gender separated because you are completely nude. This seemed a bit intimidating for me at first, but you get over it quickly. You are given a small towel which you can bring into the room to dry off and partially cover your ‘down there area’. Inside the large room there are 3 main baths with jets in the center, ranging from warm, to hot, to hot + herbs (this was my favorite). Around the perimeter of the room there are showers to use before / after the baths, with limited / cheap pump soap. In the corner of the room there is a cold plunge, and 2 steam rooms which could fit about 6 ppl each. Also a bricked off area in the opposite corner used for the spa scrub treatments (these are also done nude). Overall, everyone was respectful of each other’s space and privacy. Dry Sauna Rooms: There are many hot rooms which have different temperatures, environments, and sizes. They range from very mild (pyramid room) to extremely hot (a literal oven inside with metal grates) for which they provide small “yoga” mats to sit on. There is one with hot stone floors with blocks for your feet and head which you need to lay a towel down first to use (bring your own!). They also have a room temp oxygen room behind the help desk. Between each hot room, we went to the cold room but from some of the rooms was a bit far. Smaller rooms could get crowded easily, since only 6 ppl could be accommodated in a few of them. I would recommend trying every room. Food: There is ONE food counter in the entire facility, and no food “court” like I had been thinking there was. The food counter has a lot of options, mostly Korean, and is quick with the service. This is also where you will find the FREE water station with paper cups. I tried the Korean boneless fried chicken and the mango shaved ice. The chicken was fine and passable for a quick meal, and the mango shaved ice used bad mango, but the ice itself was good. Others: There are a lot of lazy boy loungers and couches in the main area, with people sleeping and relaxing, and a large projector with the…news?There is a “theatre” room with more loungers playing movies.They have about 3 massage chairs which cost money to use. Pool Deck: This is the “water park” since the actual one closed and is no longer accessible. There is an “adult pool” and a jet pool, neither of which are heated. There are 2 hot tubs, and the jets are very strong with chlorine smell, so I wouldn’t turn them on. This is the ONLY place you can buy alcohol on property!

I went to the spa on Saturday 2/28/2026 for the first time. Seeing how packed the parking lot was intimidated me, but it didn’t feel crowded at all when I was inside. We paid the entrance fee at the main counter, then further inside is a help desk where we booked Swedish massages and a men’s scrub. The desk staff were helpful but not the most kind when speaking to us. I enjoyed the three different hot pools and the cold plunge in the women’s spa. The locker room is clean and the lockers are pretty spacious (vertically…). Shower facilities were well maintained and basic body wash (bar soap) and shampoo/conditioner was provided if you didn’t bring your own. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic!! And it got HOT! I arrived in the spa around 4pm and shortly after booked my Vital Scrub appointment — earliest time was 6pm. I stayed in the spa till then. I really enjoyed the scrub and my skin is so smooth and refreshed now. My partner and I had Swedish massages at 7pm. Although relaxing, this experience was not what I was looking for in a massage. Maybe the acupressure would have been better for deep tissue, but I will get massage therapy elsewhere. The $115 rate for an hour was very overpriced for what we got in my opinion. I spent some more time exploring each sauna. My favorite was the fire sudatorium. Most of the saunas I entered had multiple people inside and some were noisy and not respectful of the other guests inside the small space. It felt disruptive to be alone in a sauna then be greeted by people talking or playing videos on their phone. I did not eat there or use anything in the water park area, so will have to report back on this next time. I saw people with their phones, laptops, etc in the common areas. Overall I had a positive experience at King Spa but will reconsider the paid services as i think I can get a better value elsewhere. Something I did appreciate though was getting free entrance tickets after completing a 1hr+ service and the rewards system where you earn points from each booking and can earn free admission every 500 points earned ($500 dollars spent). I will also look into buying discounted admission tickets at Komart next door. Something I did not consider before coming here was that the paid services suggest you pay a gratuity. I’m happy to tip, just keep in mind tipping when calculating how much your visit to king spa will cost. I paid $550 for my admission, vital scrub, men’s scrub, two massages, and gratuity for all four treatments.

I’ve been coming to this location off and on for over 20 years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. What was once a great family destination now feels neglected, overpriced, and poorly maintained. At least half of the reclining chairs are broken and no longer recline. In the spa area, my wife found hair in the hot tub, and the overall space had a strong smell of sweat. The floors throughout the spa appeared unkept and dirty, which is unacceptable for a place that markets itself as a wellness retreat. To make matters worse, the massage prices are higher than what you’d pay at the mall or a reputable local massage spa, yet the quality and upkeep don’t justify the cost. Even the hot rooms were only mildly warm, falling short of expectations. I’m not sure what happened, but management has clearly allowed standards to slip. I genuinely hope they take this feedback seriously and improve, because at this point we’re considering checking out the competition.

Great experience at King Spa! I spent approximately five hours at the spa, soaking in the hot tubs, pool area, napping in the sauna rooms, and getting a massage. The general admission fee was $50 (Oct 2025) and it allows you to have access to the gender separated & nude hot tub area, all the sauna rooms in the common area, and the common pool area with jets. I noticed the waterslide is permanently shut down, unfortunately. My masseuse Yoyo was very thorough and gentle - appreciate her work! I also had the seafood tofu soup and it was deliciously seasoned and pipping hot in a stone bowl! Additional amenities for massages and facials are not included in the general admission, but can be purchased on top of that fee. No reservations were needed for the additional services or admission. I did a walk in and also got the massage apt immediately.

Great experience, with all features you would expect from a public bathhouse. Easy to get services, and enjoy the diverse activities, saunas, pools, baths. Lockers are great, and there are large changing areas to transition across the water park and the sauna area. The restaurant serves all typical staples of Korean food for prices comparable to average restaurants. Only minor complaint is that the service desk could be better staffed - it is not a long line to get services, but there is almost always a line. The prices are competitive, particularly when comparing to other Spa experiences, but they are not cheap. I ended up spending close to $500 for entrance, massage and food. Money well spent, but definitely not something I can do every weekend.
