Lions Club Park
Bustling community recreation hub with water-play areas, ball fields & a paved exercise path.
This was the biggest disappointment. Not the facility itself, but the “children” running it. There is NO REASON I should feel the need to carry my child’s BIRTH CERTIFICATE to prove she is 3. I paid triple what we should have because “she’s not three”. That is disgraceful, disrespectful, and foolish. Not EVERYONE has the money to take their kids to the water park. That was her first time all summer and we will not be going back if I have to spend $10 for a 3 year old to splash around. She couldn’t do all the big things. Just. Splashing around?? The facility was lovely. It was well kept and clean. But the management I now question. Bring your birth certificate if your kids big bones because it’s literally run by kids.
This is such a beautiful area that has a 1 mile course and includes an area for outdoor exercise, which can be managed via an app. It is part of Killeen Parks and Recreational Department. They keep it very well maintained and stocked with doggie supplies. It is well lit for those of us who walk at 6AM There are basketball courts, playground, swimming, covered picnic areas, benches at every other post, and softball fields with outdoor potty. Bring your families and enjoy the outdoors any given weekend. My Bailey has a great time here.
This is a wonderful park to run, play basketball or just have a stroll with your family or alone. It is a truly safe park to bring your children and your pets. It is very convenient to many places in the city. I've been visiting this park for 20 years and have witnessed many improvements. There are always many people walking and enjoying themselves. Excellent park. The water park is pretty impressive as well. The recreational center is amazing.
It's cool for a local park. A little expensive at 10 dollars a person. Maybe that's a good price if you're staying all day but if you're just staying for 2 hours and you have 4 people and your paying $40 for two hours then that's a bit much. But they have 3 cool waterslides. Make sure you have an actual bathing suit with netting or they won't let you swim.
What a hidden gem!!! This water park is a great place to take the kids for the day! It's super affordable for the family and not too big that you loose track of where your kids are. I also love that there are a lot of lifeguards on staff and they're very attentive to what is happening in the water. I definitely recommend going here!
