The Williams Ranch
My niece had her wedding here. Our family decided to all stay on the property so I booked the “Luxury Cowboy Motorhome” despite reading a review about someone’s trip being cancelled last minute due to electrical issues. I figured those issues must have been corrected if they had the camper open to book. So I booked it months ahead of the wedding. I was excited about spending the weekend with family, but the morning of check-in I got a message from the host that they had to cancel my reservation due to electrical issues. They offered for us to stay in a much smaller camper, but only for one night since it, as well as all of the other campers, were booked. Well duh, they were all booked by our family! So on the day I’m trying to travel I now had to find other hotel accommodations. The host was supposed to refund my money but 2 months later I still hadn’t received my refund. Despite the host telling me that it was Airbnb’s fault that I hadn’t been refunded and to keep checking back I still wasn’t getting my refund. I finally reached out directly to Airbnb and they told me that the host had never contacted them to issue a refund nor had they ever cancelled the reservation, so they had no clue that I didn’t even get to stay on the property. Within 3 minutes of contacting Airbnb the reservation was cancelled and I got notification of a pending refund. So I fully believe it was the host just jerking me around. What a huge disappointment. If I could leave zero stars, I would.
We love the farm! It is unpretentious, rustic and homely. We were on a road trip and were driving from Dallas to Houston. This was a midway stop to break up the drive for a night. The check in was straightforward with good clear directions and key left at the door. We spent a bit of time exploring the grounds on arrival with the buggy. We met some animals and a super friendly Siamese cat (Sheba) who insisted on showing us around. We had a nice dinner in an Italian restaurant about 5 miles away recommended by Cheri. We stayed in the Outlook Cabin which was cosy but had a very creaky bed. It wasn't an issue for a night. The next morning we went for the animals feeding with Fred who was very nice and loves the animals. He was not very well on the day but managed to show us around, introduced the animals and fed them. They are pets of the ranch, all very well taken care of and loved by the owners and staff. We are so glad we came by and as a bonus, we had Sheba the cat who slept with us for the night. We adore this place!
An unforgettable family stay at The Williams Ranch We brought our entire family to stay at The Williams Ranch for a week, and let me tell you — it was truly a 5-star experience all the way! Ronnie, Fred, and Cheri were absolutely amazing. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The ranch itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm. The animals were a huge highlight for our family, especially for the kids, and the horseback riding experience was incredible. There was always something to do, and yet it still felt relaxing and welcoming. Whether you’re looking for a full ranch stay or just a fun day trip, I highly recommend The Williams Ranch. We made memories we’ll never forget and can’t wait to come back!
Highly disappointed with how I was treated right as I pulled in. We saw this venue thinking about having our wedding here, well today I go there actually only to drop off a few things to a young lady, a man stopped me and told me to park (not anywhere I needed to be) and rudely told me “I’m sure you can walk from here” with the most disgusted look. He was standing next to his green side by side just ignoring the fact that I’m carrying a bunch of things and I could’ve clearly parked by the venue like the lady i was coming too. He could’ve been polite at the very least.
While my daughter’s wedding at The Williams Ranch was beautiful and the staff that was there (not who we were told would be our coordinator) was nice and helpful it was more chaotic than necessary. We also waited 13 weeks for our deposit to be refunded which was supposed to be returned within 30 days. I think this is a nice venue but not sure it’s run as well as it should be. I wish I could give a 2.5 star review as I think it was average and not below average.
