Crystal Hot Springs
We visited Crystal Hot Springs on a Sunday for a family event and had a fantastic experience. The facilities were clean, well maintained, and ideal for families and group gatherings. What really makes this place special is its history and natural setting. Crystal Hot Springs has been enjoyed for generations and is known for having the highest mineral content of any hot springs in the U.S. The natural hot and cold spring water is constantly flowing and replenishing the pools, which truly sets it apart from other soaking spots. You can genuinely feel the difference. There’s a great variety of pools and temperatures for all ages, from relaxing hot mineral pools to cooler options and the Olympic-sized pool. The updated changing rooms were clean and easy to use. There are paid lockers available for securing personal items, as well as free, open areas to place your belongings if you don’t need them locked. Parking is free and conveniently located, which made arriving with a group stress-free. This is truly a must-visit destination in Utah, whether you’re a local or visiting from out of state. It’s a perfect blend of history, relaxation, and family-friendly fun, and we’ll definitely be back.
This is the perfect place to visit in the cold months. The slides are still fun in winter too. There is no sulphur smell here and yes, the water is salty but so is the ocean. And yes, you can taste the salt but it's not gross. The facility is clean and well kept. It does get crowded on the weekends so, if you can, plan your visit on a weekday in the middle of the day. Expect the changing rooms to be super busy on weekends too. The lockers are tiny so just plan on leaving your bag on one of the shelves outside, and right by the water where you can keep an eye on it. The slides are long, winding, and super fun. It feels cold hiking up the long steps in January but it's worth it. And it's actually more enjoyable when you go on the slides several times in a row. The best time to visit is when it's snowing and you are perfectly warm in the water!
What a nice surprise. Lots of locals who grew up coming here in summer break! Went on a Saturday so kids our if school. Was melow even though it was crowded the slide looks amazing did not go on it but will next time. Very affordable Nice large pools very comfortable temps able to stay in a long time we stayed in 3 hours. High salt content! We loved it. All hot springs are different so if you're a hot springer.. you will appreciate this place. Beautiful mountains in the back drop!
I took my girls and grandson for an outing. It was a lovely drive. When we got there, it was a bit underwhelming. There was a lot of cement and No shade. It was a sunny day and very hot. We had a wonderful time, however. The staff was very nice. The pools and dressing rooms were clean. It was a bit overpriced, and I would definitely bring some form of shade.
I’ve lived in Utah for a long time and never have been here until yesterday. Come at night and enjoy the warm water. The slide pass (extra two dollars) is worth it. The only downside is that it is packed! The pools and the locker rooms. Clothes and people all over. Go to the far end of the Olympic pool and you’ll find more room to hang out.
