Fifth Water Hot Springs Trailhead
A 2.5-mile hike leads visitors to this picturesque hot spring & waterfall in a forested region.
My only beef with this trail is that it’s too well known now. It’s gorgeous, the hike isn’t too difficult, and there’s plenty of little hot spring tubs to find the perfect temperature. If you go, please leave the trail better than you found it. Pick up your trash. Don’t leave anything behind.
I’d bring a swimsuit you don’t care about, it can really stink! Also trail more than doubles in length when the road closes (in winter) it can be about 8 miles round trip. Plan for time to stay at the springs. Also please don’t leave trash!
Fun hike with pretty hotsprings at the top, definitely worth it. But beware parking! They don't have great signage showing where you can park and issue very high fines for parking on the side of the road at certain spots.
These hot springs were beautiful!! Be aware they smell sooooo bad 😭 the hike was so much easier coming back which was so nice after relaxing in the pools! …
Beautiful and peaceful hike. The river views along the trail make it even more enjoyable definitely worth it!

Make a day of it — a quick-dry towel, dry bag, and post-soak layers take almost no pack space.
