Mountain Point Lake and Hot Springs
Mountain Point Lake and Hot Spring was a huge hit with everyone! We attended with a youth group and their families and days later I am still getting messages about how amazing this place was. Having an entire lake and hot spring to ourselves was a dream. Everyone enjoyed swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, jumping off of the two story deck and soaking in the hot spring. The day we were there the hot spring temperature was 101 degrees and the lake was 86 degrees. Perfect! Lora was very friendly and accommodating as well. She answered every one of my many questions and made sure that we had everything that we needed to have an unforgettable time. We will absolutely be back!
This place is so amazing and the best thing about it is that it is located in the Salt Lake Valley. Paddle boarding, swimming, hot pool soaking, scuba diving, bird watching, fishing etc. all within a few minutes of my house. Because I know the owners, my family and I have been able to go there for several years now. It is great to see all the additions like the floating 2-story dock and tiny house making it easier to access and enjoy. The hot springs pool is great to soak in and feel the natural healing of the heat and minerals in the water. I am a big fan.
This is such a fun place. My nine year old daughter declared it “the best lake ever” and has been asking when we can go back. The seating on the dock is great for a group to be able to socialize and enjoy each other and the lake. It was also so convenient to have life jackets, paddle boards and seating right there and not have to pack all the things you usually do for the lake. My kids range from small kids to teens and they all loved it. It was also nice to have it all to ourselves. We will definitely be going back.
You think you're in the city, then you turn down a dirt road into the most magical place. There's a huge hot springs right next to you're own private lake. There is a fully covered dock with 3 outdoor couches. You can climb to the top of the dock and jump off the 2nd story. If you need to dry off there a fully equipped tiny house with a kitchen, a shower and bathroom. You will never want to leave.
I love this place! We have made many great memories here. As someone who loves the outdoors, but doesn't love crowds, this is the perfect spot. It is a quiet place just off the freeway. My kids love spending time here and the lake water feels so good on my skin and hair. A great place for birthday parties or private family get togethers!
