First off, my wife and I and other family members have always held Sego Lily as the gold standard in day spas. Yesterday for Presidents’ Day, we thought we would treat ourselves to an outing at the spa. Yesterday is the first time I have ever been truly disappointed in a multitude of ways. We did a couples massage with add ons, and each of us got a facial. When I went into the men’s locker room at 9:00 a.m., I went to use the bathroom and the toilet was in seriously bad shape. That was surprising. The basket for towels was almost filled to capacity, the garbage was pretty full, and there was no hand soap by the sink. Considering the spa opens at 9:00 a.m., it was obvious that nothing had been taken care of the day/night before. When my wife and I went into the relaxation room prior to going back for services, we both noticed that the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Based off all the crumbs all over, around tables, etc, it had been a fair while. Once again comparing to our past visits, it was really surprising. For me, my massage was not a great experience. I will say that I wasn’t feeling 100%, but everything about it was a bit backwards. I have never started face up with any massage I have ever had anywhere. The neck work was kind of uncomfortable, and normally a massage therapist would pick up on things. I don’t know if the therapist just graduated school, or what the situation was. She was nice, but between my heartburn, and the massage not feeling all that great, that part of the visit was not my favorite. I hung in there, because I didn’t want to ruin my wife’s massage. My wife’s massage was good for her. Now to the good part of the visit. Lexi B was fabulous in every way!! Fantastic personality , and the facial was amazing. She made the visit worthwhile! I’m going a bit in reverse here, but the front desk staff was not stellar. The blonde cougar had no personality, and overall, the welcome part of the front desk was disappointing. They seemed interested in selling product, but that was about it. One last thing, the men’s locker room had no hair fixative like they normally do. I mentioned that when we went to pay as well as no hand soap, and one of the front desk staff did go back and do something. I went back and someone had put some hair fixative on the counter, but still no hand soap. Soap Is important for those of us who like clean hands and staying healthy. This probably sounds like I am some snotty rich person, which I definitely am not. Not even close. I work in the construction industry and am just a normal, everyday, average earning person. Since I am not rich, dropping just shy of $1,000.00 for a a spa day with add ons, and some product, is a lot of money for me to spend!!! Now I wonder, is this the new standard at Sego Lily???

Don’t buy their gift cards! They deduct money from them before you can use them! Be sure to use your credit card when making an appointment so you can at least dispute when they charge you without your authorization. We didn’t have any service done and they charged our gift card for making an appointment and then called back to change the time within the same 24 hours! We bought the gift card as a birthday surprise, the birthday person was not feeling well so we called right back to change the time. The girl was not helpful and actually mean about it, they clearly cared more about keeping a change fee than a repeat client. Not sympathetic to our circumstance whatsoever. Like Pretty Woman said “Huge Mistake” haha our entire family has found a different spa and will never make another appointment or gift card purchase here again. Dishonest, unfair, overall created a terrible experience. Also, old and run down, it looks the same as it did back in 2000. Karma will catch up, this place won’t last much longer without good customer service.

Sego Lily is one of my very favorite spas! I love that the actual spa is so private, quiet, and calm. The music, the lighting, the meditation room, and the overall ambiance of the space really help get you into a place of mental calm so you can fully enjoy your time there. I have received many massages here, and all but once they have been amazing! The one time it wasn’t a great experience, they went out of their way to make it right, which I appreciated so much! I also can’t say enough wonderful things about the women’s changing area. The plush robes and slippers you are given to wear, the lockers they provide, the showers and sauna, and the plethora of products they have available to help you tidy up and be ready to head back out of the spa after receiving your services, they really go above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic experience. I love coming to Sego Lily, and I’m sure I’ll be back many more times!

My wife and I came here a while ago. I bought her a couple's spa day for Christmas. I actually purchased a couple spa day here in midvale and then we ended up scheduling it up in Layton because they had the time that we wanted I've done some other reviews of massages. Yes, I know this was more than just a massage. It was a whole spa day. It was a very nice massage. Not the best I've ever had far from the worst. About the whole atmosphere and the pedicures and a facials and things like that were incredibly pleasant If it's a place that you can afford I highly recommend going. It is a premium but you also get a premium service and even though it was a premium price, it hasn't stopped us from experiencing the other locations, but it is also something I financially can't indulge in as much as I would like to.

I got a wonderful gift card for my birthday from many dear people. I had a peaceful experience. My sister told me everything they had available. The front office person gave me a quick tour and told me to get ready so they would get me and to have snacks and tea on my way out. She told me to stay as long as I wanted to. I left earlier than I wanted to because I had other things scheduled. They had many different snacks, teas, and waters. It was absolutely wonderful. They have a fireplace where you can enjoy your tea or different water options along with snacks. They have two saunas, showers, and everything needed to get ready before you leave. You can even do your hair before you leave if you would like, and they supply everything you will need.
