My experience at the spa was closer to 3 1/2 stars than three, but I can’t give it four stars. We were promptly greeted upon walking in, which was great, but someone had on a strong perfume, which set off my mother-in-law’s allergies. We were given a brief tour of the small facility before going into the ladies lounge to get changed. Most of the lockers had an out of service sign on it, and when we were given the tour, the attendant informed us that all of the locks on the lockers are broken, so we can either leave our valuables in there unsecured or carry them with us. They provide you with a robe and slippers to wear during your time at the spa. The robes were comfortable, and the slippers were pretty typical of a spa. There are only two restrooms, and two sinks, one of which was also broken while we were there. Something that was confusing and slightly offputting is that the hot teas provided are in the front of the men’s lockers. Do you feel like you have to walk into the men’s lounge to access the teas. I’m not sure why they do that since there is plenty of room in the lounge space. The lounge space does have lots of natural light, which was wonderful, but the window views were blocked by chairs and a table on the little deck they have. It wasn’t made clear if we had access to the pools or any other amenities, but if it is included, you have to leave the spa area to access them. The facial was adequate, but not worth the price. I’ve had better facials from Groupon. She was slightly rough, and it felt very rushed the whole treatment. A positive of the treatment is that none of the products used had any scent, which is great for people who are sensitive to that. My skin did look and feel good after the treatment, but the actual treatment was not relaxing. Based on this experience, I don’t recommend Kingsmill spa. If you’re staying on the property, it’s very convenient and does have a slight view of the water. But there are better facials and overall spot experiences in the Williamsburg area at better or equal costs. As I was looking at other reviews, a lot of the best reviews are from more than a year ago. I’m not sure what changed, but I’m glad my experience wasn’t typical.

Stacey Ann gave me a fabulous massage. All of the staff was courteous and helpful. The robes, towels, and slippers were high quality, and they were included with spa treatment. The lockers for the spa worked wonderfully. The showers in the spa only had hot water and only lavender mint scented products, but everything was extremely clean. The bathrooms have full doors. The whirlpool, sauna, and steam room are included with spa treatment and are located in the main women's locker room. I went on a weekday morning, and there was hardly anyone else there.

One and done experience. Overpriced everything. The facility was clean. The saunas were good IF you could get in the place was extremely overcrowded. Charge you for a Robe and the worker who took it from me before the scrub dropped it in the pool asked for a dry one and she said she would have to charge me again. The massage was TERRIBLE worse I ever had. Body scrub was good. $20 for a SMALL BOWL of fried rice. $9 drink just too overpriced especially the size of the saunas does not accommodate the crowds they allow in.

Two appointments scheduled and no one available either time. When I arrived at my original appointment, I was told that no one was available. They mentioned that they called everyone impacted by the schedule change but I didn't receive any notification. They offered an appointment the next afternoon. I called to confirm the time in the morning but when I arrived in the afternoon, I was told again that no one was available.

The massage and facial were wonderful! Ideal place for a spa day! However, when I visited, they offered both manicure and pedicure services, and it was extremely lacking for the amount I paid. I am not even sure if they still offer those services but I was expecting more of a luxurious experience in comparison to the wonderful facial and massage.
