Williamsburg Salt Spa
RELAXED AND DISAPPOINTED! A good friend and I had appointments on March 4 for two services: a one-hour massage and a 45-minute session in the Salt Cave. We were both highly pleased with our massages. Afterwards, I felt extremely relaxed and the tight areas in my neck and shoulders were noticeably looser. Abby did a wonderful job and I truly appreciated the quality of the massage. Unfortunately, our experience in the Salt Cave was off-putting. Since it was my first time in a salt cave, I didn’t really know what to expect. The room itself was inviting and relaxing, with comfortable chairs, light blankets, and low lighting. We were also given earplugs to help muffle the sound of snoring from other guests, which seemed like a thoughtful amenity. Ironically, I became so relaxed that I fell asleep and was awakened by a staff member for snoring. I was embarrassed and spent the remainder of the session tense and confused, wondering how they even knew I was snoring. Were there cameras or speakers in the room? Later, my companion explained what had happened. Apparently, a person who arrived late for her regular appointment had not been wearing the earplugs. She left the salt cave to complain to the staff about my snoring. That raised a few questions for me. If earplugs are provided specifically for that reason, why wasn’t the complaining client simply asked to wear them? Also, what consideration does the spa give to guests who might have conditions like sleep apnea? (For the record, I do not have sleep apnea and have been tested.) The topic isn’t mentioned anywhere in the spa’s policies or screening, yet someone was pulled out of a relaxing session because of it. The complaining client was even allowed to remain in the salt cave when time elapsed even though the spa’s policy prohibited latecomers from receiving extra time, by my understanding. Being awakened and singled out disrupted what had started as a peaceful experience. While my companion and I were given complimentary bath salts, which I assume was intended as an apology, no staff member actually explained what happened or acknowledged the situation directly. Thank you again to Abby for a wonderful massage. However, the handling of the salt cave situation — particularly what felt like preferential treatment of a regular client — left me disappointed with the overall experience. I was bummed for the rest of the day.
My husband and I had the most amazing and relaxing experience at Williamsburg Salt Spa! From start to finish, everything was peaceful and rejuvenating. We started with the salt cave, which was incredibly calming and helped us both unwind. The infrared sauna was warm, soothing, and felt like the perfect detox. Then came the float tank—what an incredible, almost otherworldly experience! It was deeply relaxing and gave us both a sense of total weightlessness and calm. The spa itself is beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully designed to create a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were kind, welcoming, and made us feel completely at ease. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking to truly relax and take care of their mind and body!
I have to say as someone who has traveled extensively and enjoyed many of the finest spas it is amazing to have such a wonderful facility so close to home. The facilities are always clean, the staff is amazing and the services are always five star! I’m so excited to see that Anna is back not only running the facility however owning it and making sure that everyone is getting a “World Class” experience. I don’t just enjoy the Salt Spa I make sure to provide gift certificates to my family, friends, employees and clients! How do you tell the ones you love the most how important they are to you than to give them the “BEST”!!! The Williamsburg Salt Spa
I’ve been coming here for massages for years now & have never left disappointed. I usually get a 90 deep tissue w hot salt rocks & I leave feeling brand new every time. I see a variety of the therapists here because sometimes my body may need certain things but they are all amazing!! & the products in the gift shop are 😘🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 the Circadia skin care line they have is chefs kiss & the ONLY stuff I use on my face & have found the honey cleanser also does well on my body for exfoliating! If you want quality, salt spa has it. Always clean, amazing staff & all around relaxing atmosphere.
My boyfriend and I did a couple massage last week and we had a fantastic experience. Crystal and Jodi were both wonderful and made sure we were comfortable and relaxed. We both left refreshed and happy. I have had a massage with Jodi before and she is a STAR! Always kind and gets all the knots out! The sauna was great as well- best before a massage. I have also tried the salt cave and truly enjoyed it! Front desk staff is always very pleasant and welcoming. Will definitely be back!
