I wouldn't waste my money here. It used to be a nice relaxing treat. But, unfortunately the most recent ownership group doesn't maintain facility. The steam room has been down for months now. They make excuses and say it's "15 years old and there's no one who can fix it." They still charge the same entrance fees, even though one of their main features isn't available and it's been this way for months and will be down indefinitely they tell me. On the men's side, the "Warm Tub" and the "Cold Tub" both work just fine. The Sauna works just fine. But, the "Hot tub" doesn't. The water is never actually "hot" and the few jets that actually work in that tub are very weak while the rest don't work at all. I mentioned this to the Eastern European woman who I think is a manager there and she tried to tell me it takes "4 hours to warm the water." Well, I've been coming here for years and I've visited early in the day and late. In the day and the hot tub was never hot once and the jets have never worked in that tub. They sometimes also do cleaning and maintenance during the hours that the Spa is open for business, so they'll shut down part of the facility that you pay for, in addition to the facilities like the steam room that has already been out of service for months now. Why not do maintenance and cleaning before the Spa opens in the morning or after it closes at night instead of during the times customers are paying to use the facilities?? Most of the customer service is also very rude and just not pleasant. This is supposed to be a decretionary and relaxing place to attend. The customer service here often makes it very unpleasant. Also, there are often certain ethnic groups who speak very loudly while in the Spa. There are even signs up in their language (Russian) that say to please keep conversations quiet and to be respectful of others. But, this is not enforced and it can at sometimes be rather difficult to relax here because of the loud conversations. There are also signs up regarding sexual activity not being tolerated and that shorts should be worn at all times. These rules are also not enforced. Sexual activity absolutely goes on here. Personally, I don't care what two other humans engage in. But, I also don't want to be leared at to the point where I'm uncomfortable. This place has become a place for sexual activity on the men's side anyway. It makes sense though. That's a huge chunk of their current clientele because the Spa's largely don't work like they are supposed to and the steam room doesn't work at all. So, why would many men pay the $40 entry fee? Because, it's becoming a known "cruising" spot for man to man hookups. I have no judgement against people who engage in this type of activity, but I certainly don't want to participate or pay an entry fee to a place that doesn't even offer basic Spa services anymore. I'd find somewhere else to go. It's said, this used to be a pretty decent place. :(

This was my first time visiting, and I came to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The towels provided were yellow, unpleasant, and looked dirty. It was very uncomfortable to use them. The clothes (shorts and a T-shirt) were thrown at me without any explanation. The staff’s attitude was rude, and instead of calmly explaining the rules, they later started yelling and scolding. It was also extremely uncomfortable to walk around naked, especially since the door is covered only by a curtain. When someone enters or exits, the curtain opens immediately, exposing the area. From there, the ticket counter is clearly visible, where a male employee is sitting, and male visitors are also walking around. This made the situation very uncomfortable and inappropriate. What especially upset me was the rule that prohibits wearing flip-flops in the restroom. I find it unacceptable to use a public restroom without footwear — this is a basic hygiene issue. Overall, the experience was extremely negative. The place felt dirty, and the attitude toward guests was disrespectful. I will never come back and do not recommend this place to anyone.

Palace Spa in Federal Way is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, calming atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The facility is spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to help you unwind and recharge. The saunas and pools are incredible—each one offering a different therapeutic experience. Whether you want deep detox, stress relief, or simple relaxation, there’s a room for every mood. I especially loved how spacious everything felt, even when it was busy. The staff are friendly, attentive, and professional, and the amenities are top-notch. The massage services are exceptional too—skilled therapists who truly know what they’re doing. Palace Spa is the perfect place to escape, rejuvenate, and treat yourself. If you’re in the Federal Way area (or even if you’re not!), it’s absolutely worth the visit. I always leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and restored. Highly recommended!

Extremely Disappointed – Declining Quality and Lack of Professionalism I would give zero stars if I could. My husband has been a loyal client here for years, but the quality has declined to an unacceptable level. We booked a couples massage, but after waiting 20 minutes, we were separated into different rooms. My session was the opposite of relaxing. I specifically asked for certain techniques to be avoided, yet the therapist completely disregarded my requests. For the entire hour, she simply pressed her bones against mine, which was incredibly painful. Despite my discomfort, the service felt rushed and mechanical. To make matters worse, my husband was scratched during his service. Massage with no oil until it was requested. We left feeling worse than when we arrived. We will not be returning and suggest others look elsewhere for professional care.

Palace Spa is absolutely amazing. The fact that they were open on Christmas was already a huge plus and very appreciated. The manager, Svetlana, is incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. You can tell she truly cares about the guests and the experience. Jana was also a great employee—friendly, attentive, and professional. My wife and I had an amazing time. We drove all the way from Vancouver, Washington (about 150 miles) and did not regret it at all. The experience was 10/10 from start to finish. Highly recommend Palace Spa
