Joannes Park
Park featuring a pool with slides, a baseball field, a basketball court, a skate park & more.
Awful experience. Was here a whole 5 minutes and was yelled at 4 different occasions. The most ridiculous reason was because I had my 2yr daughter who is almost an independent swimmer on my back. I couldn't take her out into the deep end. They also yelled at my 9yo strong swimmer son, told him he is too little too go off the diving board. I had him in diving lessons at 7& 8 yrs old! AWFUL experience. I understand policies & safety but this was beyond reasonable. No wonder they have a "no refund" policy. It's unlikely they have returning customers with "policies" such as so. I've been to waterparks and pools my entire life. I've been a life time member of a local pool. Never had I experienced such ridiculous policies in my life. Save your couple bucks & find a different pool. This one just isn't worth it.
The park is much larger than I thought! The river runs through it so theres a cute bridge that crosses over to a path and a large open clearing that's great for dogs to run. The park doesn't just have a pool, it's an aquatic park, with slides and water spouts, very large pool area. This park offers ball fields and diamonds for soccer, football, and baseball. It has plenty of clean bathrooms and various playground areas. It even has a skate park. This park surprised me in how much it has to offer and how clean and well kept it is. Welcoming place for families, right in the middle of a blossoming residential area, surrounded by public schools and a police station, making it safe and convenient.
Personally I dislike any water attraction due to bacteria but my fiance and family enjoyed the park a lot. They have pretty decently sized locker rooms and a big parking lot next to the highschool (in case you have trouble finding it). Great for kids and there is a shower station right in-between the water park and the playground which makes transitioning between the two very convenient.
Had a wonderful time at the Waterpark with my 4yr old grandson. Lots to do in the pool area for all ages. Sand box play yard is great (hose for washing off.) Concession stand has lots to offer from food and drinks to treats. Lots of shaded areas available. Water slides were fun too.
We were in the area with my son and nephew and decided to take a swim. We picked this park at randow and were pleasantly surprised. Clean pool and facilities and the lifeguards where attentive and professional. Highly reccomend.
