Astoria Hot Springs and Park

Lovely and clean hot springs facility. Kind and smiling staff although we were very off put by the fact that when we arrived 20 minutes before our reservation, we entered the building for them only to ask us to wait outside of the building... in the cold for 20 minutes, until our reservation time. The instructions were not clear before hand and we should have been told that you cannot arrive early. (There was something very, very buried in the paperwork and small once we dug through it again after the fact.) But instructions suggested that we could, but it was really unclear. I also felt like the staff kind of rushed through the explanation of the pools. Very nice place though, I do recommend it, but make sure you arrive precisely on time and not early.

I took my 10 year old daughter here after staying in Jackson for a few days -we are from Hawaii so this was a beyond amazing experience for us. It was snowing, so it made it even more magical for us. Beautiful views and beautiful pools. If I had one suggestion, it would be to have some sort of waiting area inside. We arrived about 30 min early and when we asked if there was somewhere to wait they said no and said we should wait in our car-it was dumping snow, so kind of wished there was a place indoors to wait (especially since it was very cold and snowing) but besides that, we loved it and I would highly recommend.

My husband and I stumbled across Astoria on our way to Jackson Hole. The next morning be decided to book last minute and stop in our way home. It was easy to book, we chose the 0900-1045 session. The perfect amount of time! I love that there’s a limit on how many people can enter. The cold plunge was a nice addition. I love the flowing steam and greenery and how it makes the pools feel private. Showers and toilets were clean. Staff were very friendly! We rented towels for $5 each, as we weren’t expecting to stop. A coffee bar would really take this place to the next level. Can’t wait to return.

Astoria is a natural sulfur thermal spring that flows into man made pools. There are 2 in the "quiet" area. One close to the cold plunge. The largest pool is chlorinated. There are cubby holes close to the pools to store your clothing. Bring your own towels. No glass, alcohol or food is allowed by the pools. You must reserve your time, which is for 2 hours. You also need to sign a waiver prior to visit, which is available online. The staff are friendly, and helpful. I loved my visit, and felt wonderful for a couple of days afterwards.

Amazing I loved it so much. I wish we could have stayed longer but they only allow 1 hr 45 mins per session so get there on time. The views were incredible. The water temps were definitely not accurate as I could tell since I own a hot tub. They said the temps in some of the pools were 103 but they were not that hot. It was a bit crowded. I didn’t like how they allowed talking in the quiet pools so that was annoying.
